Senior Software Engineer in Test

As a senior software engineer in test, you have expertise in building out test automation platforms and test cases for cloud-native and data management systems. You will be responsible for designing and building test automation systems that validate WISEcode products (fully integrated). Additionally you will be responsible for automation of data quality assessment and reporting. You will lead decision making around which test platforms to use. You will work with the product team to define integration and product test strategies and work with the engineering team to implement those tests. 

 

Responsibilities

​

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and develop an integrated feature test platform.

  • Define and implement test plans to cover all products and features

  • Establishing quality metrics and measure and report on goals against those metrics

  • Establish data quality metrics and goals. Measure and report on data quality.

  • Contribute to test automation, tooling and coverage in other test areas (unit, component, GUI, etc) as needed.

 

Requirements / Qualifications

​

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 5+ years in software development in quality focused roles, with at least 3 dedicated specifically to test automation 

  • At least 3+ years work on cloud-native platform (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks)

  • Proficiency in at least 2 current programming languages, and the aptitude to quickly learn whatever tool is best for the job.

  • Experience working on an agile team

  • Hands-on experience shipping products that have been used by enterprise customers

  • Familiar with and comfortable using a variety of databases 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
